Terms of Service

The ebook “No Building Codes” is copyrighted. I, Terry Herb, own all intellectual and distribution rights to it as its creator. Any possession of the ebook by other means than through authorized outlets and in printed form through my publisher will be viewed as piracy and pursued as such.

How you can sell the book:

You can sell the ebook by whatever means you know of to be legal, generally this means on your website or similar using links and images. Spam is not acceptable. Do not flood Craigslist and other posting sites or forums with annoying advertisements that would cause someone to contact me about spamming. I don’t want to be banned by any popular sites nor presented with any lawsuits.

Do not use any “black hat” methods to sell this ebook (if you know what black hat is, then you are aware of all techniques that would fall under this category).

You can present links in forums as long as it is within the contextual theme of the forum post.

Misrepresentation will only lead to trouble, so do not over-hype the ebook, creating unreasonable expectations. Let the pitch page sell the ebook please.

Payment:

You will receive 50% of each sale AFTER PayPal fees. I will not cover your half of the fees per transaction.

PayPal has a fee for transactions: $0.00 - $3,000.00 2.9% + $0.30 USD. This means that if the ebook is $20 to purchase (I rounded up for this example) and PayPal charges me a transaction fee of $2.90 + $.30 I will then deduct the fee first, which would leave $17.80. Afterward, I will divide the payment in half, leaving your share of the sale and my share. We each make roughly $8.90. You can check with PayPal if you are wondering about any fees.

Every sale will have a grace period of one week from the date of sale to give time for any disputes, fraud investigations or refund requests to play out.

Every week your sales will be checked for accuracy and then you will receive a PayPal payment to the email address you provided at sign-up unless other arrangements were made with me. A specific day has not been determined yet for the payment since this is a brand new program. Once a regular cycle develops, a more reliable day will be established as a payment day.

If you have any concerns about a particular purchase, you can use the contact email provided under the vendor information.

All income and tax accounting will be your responsibility, not mine. Since all payments will be through PayPal, you will be able to track how much you earned with transaction records on their site.

All ebooks sold to legitimate, paying customers will have a discreet stamp with the customer’s information and transaction number at the bottom each page of the ebook. This discourages handing out illegal copies and other fraudulent activities.

I will pursue illegal distribution to the full extent of the law (I have plenty of time on my hands). I have a family lawyer that will help in the event there is a problem of piracy; please inform me of anything illegal.
